Partner Terms ยท Version 2026-09-06-v1

OpenHood Partner Terms

These terms govern use of the OpenHood Partner platform by automotive shops. They are written to reflect the current OpenHood operating model and should be reviewed by legal counsel before a broad commercial launch.

1. Partner account

The business confirms that the person creating the account is authorized to act for the shop and that the business information supplied to OpenHood is accurate.

2. Fees

The OpenHood Partner platform is $29 CAD per month, plus the currently published fee for each completed customer inspection report. Taxes may apply. The shop sets its own customer inspection price and keeps its inspection revenue.

3. Business verification

Payment creates access to the Partner platform, but OpenHood may require business verification before branded customer reports can be published. OpenHood may suspend access where identity, payment, abuse, or business legitimacy cannot be reasonably verified.

4. Inspection responsibility

The shop and its technicians are responsible for the accuracy of inspection observations, measurements, photos, videos, diagnostic information, and other evidence they submit. OpenHood organizes and presents the information; it does not replace the technician's professional judgment.

5. Customer reports

OpenHood reports are informational pre-purchase or condition reports unless a specific legally required inspection program is expressly identified. They are not a guarantee, warranty, government certification, or promise that a vehicle is free of defects.

6. Brand and logo

The shop confirms it has the right to use any logo or business identity it uploads. OpenHood may automatically review logo uploads and reject files that are not suitable business logos. Logo uploads are limited to prevent abuse.

7. Customer information and media

The shop must only submit customer information and vehicle media it is authorized to collect and use for the inspection. The shop must follow applicable privacy and consumer-protection requirements.

8. Subscription status

A current subscription may be required to publish new reports. Cancellation or payment failure may limit Partner functionality while preserving records as required for normal account administration.

9. Acceptable use

The Partner platform may not be used for fraud, deceptive reports, unlawful content, abusive uploads, impersonation, or attempts to circumvent OpenHood verification or billing controls.

10. Changes and support

OpenHood may update the platform and these Partner Terms as the service develops. Material changes should be communicated to active Partners. Questions can be directed through the normal OpenHood support channel.
